Ndebele necklace

I mentioned in one of my previous comments that I had a project on the go. Here it is. The main body of the necklace is of triangular bluish beds with a sheen and matte finish. It's a rope with wire threaded through to keep it from bunching. The chunky beads were deliberately made in an irregular shape but in graduated sizes because the pattern itself used polished chunks of semi-precious stone.

The triangular seed beads felt a little odd to work with at first but the rope soon grew.

I made the S clasp and jump rings from 1mm silver wire and the two circular beads were of purple Spectrum waterglass.

The chunky elements: Here's a close up of the large beads. The chunky elements: Here's a close up of the large beads.

The 5 chunky lampwork beads were made from a mixture of cream and purple/blue cat's paw glass. (I can't remember the maker )The 4 smaller beads used more cream glass in proportion to graduate the colours.

It's taken me a while toget it together as I couldn't at first figure out how to stop the rope buckling and pulling away from the beads.
Also excuse the format, I can't get the hang of placing the items as I want them.

Organic

There's something very organic looking about the beaded rope form. I like it.
